Russian Gala by Victoria Lopyreva
18th October 2021October 18, the official EXPO-2020 program presented the traditional Russian Gala Dinner organized by Victoria Lopyreva, Ambassador of the Russian Pavilion of the EXPO-2020 World Exhibition in Dubai.
The Russian Gala Festival by Victoria Lopyreva, as part of the EXPO-2020 official cultural program, introduces Dubai and the world community to the best examples of the Russian heritage and cultural traditions, helping attract tourism and investments to Russia, thus opening new horizons for international business collaboration.
Innovations and outstanding achievements, rich cultural program, 192 participating countries, and millions of visitors from all over the world – all this makes EXPO 2020 a unique event globally.
Invitations to the official guests of Victoria’s event were extraordinary – a unique crystal nesting doll – the symbol of Russia, made by the craftsmen of Avdeev Crystal at the famous Dyatkovo Crystal Factory. It was Matryoshka that was awarded a medal at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900 – 120 years later, the most recognizable symbol of Russia returned to Expo-2020.
The inspiration for this year’s Gala Dinner was the Northern Lights and the traditions of the Russian North. For the harmony of the event, Victoria chose white and silver colors of the dress code.
Special guests flew from Moscow to Dubai to share the Gala of Victoria’s event: H.E Fares Ghattas – The Luxury Network International Global Ceo, Adel Aref – The Luxury Network International Global Ambassador, Fatma Samoura – General Secretary of FIFA, Youri Djorkaeff – France International Football Winner of World Cup 1998 and PSG FC Ambassador, Nino Ninidze, Nyusha, Yan Ge, Inga Berman, Yulia, and Artem Akimovs, Elena Krygina, Angelica Timanina, Artem Krivda, Daniil Berg, Elena Blinovskaya, Sergey Sukhov, Svetlana Stepankovskaya, Elena Knyazeva, Maria Kalmykova, and many others.
The guests were accommodated in the new Raffles The Palm Dubai. Everyone perceived the hospitality of the hostess and appreciated the convenient location of the hotel.
Victoria Lopyreva invited guests to a warm Welcome Dinner at the Carna restaurant of SLS Dubai hotel upon their arrival on October 17.
The next morning the guests attended EXPO-2020 to see the Russian pavilion for themselves. The pavilion’s futuristic architecture made it one of the brightest at EXPO. Victoria personally guided the guests and explained the symbolism of the pavilion – its huge dome and thousands of multi-colored intertwined thread-tubes that symbolize the infinity of the cognition process and the rapidly growing progress.
The long-awaited Russian Gala by Victoria Lopyreva culminated that evening in the ballroom of W Dubai The Palm Hotel, which almost neon design was a perfect match for the Gala’s theme. Victoria personally met each guest in a stunning silver dress, a perfect representation of the Gala dress code. She succeeded to create the atmosphere of a real Russian fairy tale, so the inhabitants of hot Dubai were imbued with the spirit of the Russian North.
That evening the endless skyscrapers of Dubai witnessed creativity by the world’s extraordinary talents from Russia: the neoclassical composer and pianist Nikola Melnikov, the world ballet star Sergei Polunin, and the popular singer Emin Agalarov who culminated the Gala Dinner event. Beautiful Russian folklore nicely entwined the Gala program through its powerful music and dance by the “Asya Kya” group from the northern Komi Republic of Russia.
The English-speaking and Russia famous star Gala hosts were TV hostess Sofiko Shevardnadze and Netflix actor and writer Alexander Tsypkin.
